This Sunday we started to look at the incarnational principle of the gospel. Jesus became man and challenges us to also ‘be in the shoes of those around us’. For us it means the hard work of revisiting the atrocities of apartheid. The sermon was a challenging one to prepare and deliver because our Afrikaner church heritage was a huge authoring influence of Apartheid. The highlight of the service was to hear a confession from one of our older members towards two of our black brothers and to see the healing effect of it. The service was in English if you would like to you can download it here.
I’m really excited to see where God is taking us as a community.
