Every Wednesday evening a group of sinners and saints gather for the purpose of prayer. Sometimes we pray through a Psalm other times a Celtic one. Last week we circled the room to voice our prayer requests.

It’s winter here in South Africa and one of the prayer requests was “to pray for those who are on the street and cold”. We wrote the prayer down and then God answered … there in our midst. Someone commented that we were the answer to that prayer … We sent out an email asking everyone to bring their extra blankets to our gathering for distribution. I realized that there must be a lot of prayers that don’t need uttering for sometimes the request and the answer dance within us, ready to jive!

Today I found this quote on Fink’s site:

Christ has no body now but yours,
No hands but yours,
No feet but yours.
Yours are the eyes through which Christ looks with compassion on this world;
Yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good;
Yours are the hands with which he is to bless now.
