Ok so here is something I’ve been thinking about a lot.  I think so much of spiritual growth gets confused with accumulating new knowledge.  Let me explain.  Someone explains the background of a specific text in the Bible.  Maybe some titbit of Jewish information, or symbolism.  The hearer really likes the new info.  He or she gets so excited about it that he tells his friends about it.

Now so far there has only been information transfer … (which is not bad if it goes into action)

But what if spiritual growth consists of nothing but this kind of hearing and telling and that those who are deemed to be really spiritual are those who can share most of the secrets …  Your thoughts?
