Mark’s account of Holy Week is divided into a day-by-day account starting with Palm Sunday.  Tuesday was spent in a heated debate with the elders, priests and scribes. It is Mark’s longest telling of a day.
This morning as I read about Jesus’ interactions with these opponents it struck me again how smart Jesus is.  For the longest of times I didn’t make the connection that in addition of Jesus being the savior, Jesus is the smartest person to ever live.  One of the best exploration of this (that I’ve read) is a short essay by Dallas Willard entitled, “Jesus The Logician.”

I invite you to read Mark 11:20-13:37 … and appreciate the intelligence of Jesus the Logician.
